Quick answers about VR escape rooms in Sydney and Burwood
What is a VR escape room?
A VR escape room combines the puzzles, teamwork and problem-solving of a traditional escape room with virtual reality. At Entermission Sydney and Burwood your team wears wireless headsets and physically walks around a shared arena. The virtual world matches the real space, so you can see your teammates, explore together and solve the mission as one team. Seated VR escape rooms are also available.
Is a VR escape room as immersive as a traditional one?
Yes, and VR can go further. Instead of being limited by physical sets and props, our adventures can take your team to ancient temples, fantasy worlds, other times or even outer space. Trained Adventure Masters follow your progress from Mission Control and give prompts when you need them, while your team still solves the adventure itself.
How long does a VR escape room take?
You have up to 60 minutes to complete your mission. VR Challenge Rooms are shorter, fast-paced team games played in 30 or 60 minute sessions.
How much does it cost?
VR escape rooms are $55 per player. VR Challenge Rooms are $30 per player for a 30 minute session or $55 per player for 60 minutes, and Floor is Lava is $15 per player. Prices and offers can change, so check the booking page for the latest.
How many people can play?
VR escape rooms need at least two players. Sydney CBD can host up to 50 people per session, and up to 100 using rotations. Burwood is our biggest venue and can host 70 to 80 people, with up to 18 players at a time on a free roam experience. Larger groups rotate between activities.
What is the minimum age?
The recommended minimum age is 7 for VR escape rooms and 5 for Game Night mixed reality. Children under 10 playing a free roam VR escape room or Game Night need a participating adult (18+) as one of the paid players.
Will I play with strangers?
No. Every booking is private, so your group never plays with strangers.
