Budgets, the logistics of arranging for venues, foods, drinks, decorations, music and return gifts, and above all, the birthday child’s preferences: all have to be taken into account. That’s a lot of factors to balance.
So we’ve decided to make it easier for you. We’ve found the top 9
birthday party places for 10 year olds in Sydney.

The venues and their teams are perfectly equipped to handle your child and their friends, and make the process as easy on you as possible.

This one’s for the animal lover amongst your tots. This horse riding centre has options for packages for kids of many different ages, and their USP is their pony riding birthday party package.

Children can learn feeding, grooming, saddling and riding the ponies around the farm as part of the package.

The patient and passionate team has lots of experience handling children, as they also host horse riding lessons and school camps. The animals are also chosen keeping an even temperament in mind, to make the experience as safe as possible for your children.

The centre also provides tables and catering suggestions, and a fridge to keep your cake, snacks and drinks at the perfect temperature.

2. Ultimate Sydney Indoor Play Centre

Got a kid with an insane amount of energy? This massive entertainment venue – Australia’s largest indoor play centre – could be the perfect choice for their birthday.

It has interconnected trampolines, a huge foam pit with a climbing wall, a jungle gym, a dodgeball arena, a basketball, drift car games, dodgem cars, an air hockey table and even a soft play area.

There are party rooms specifically designed for birthday parties, with hosts and decorations at hand. And for all your nibble needs – there is a well-stocked cafe.

We imagine this is what a ten-year-old’s birthday dreams are made of!

3. Crocs Playcentre

Another of our favourite play centres in the city, Crocs has a vast variety of play facilities especially designed by leading indoor play specialists.

It’s divided into sections by age. So your older child can romp around on jungle gyms, climbing walls, jumping castles, giant slides, balls pits and more. Meanwhile, your little ones can be in the soft play areas and take part in sensory activities to encourage their imagination to develop.

The centre has themed party rooms, such as Disco Party or Baking Party. Their packages can be customised for your child’s needs – from duration, to food, to activities and games, to parent’s platters. And a host is at hand to conduct the party – and clean up afterwards. It may truly be one of the chillest ways to party.

4. Monkey Mania Indoor Play Centre & Birthday Party Venue

Our final play centre is Monkey Mania. It’s fully air-conditioned, and is dedicated to the finest indoor play equipment for children aged 1-12, divided by age.

There are bouncy castles, soft play areas, foam ball arenas, climbing structures, slides, and even go karts.

And specifically for your little one’s birthday, there are uniquely themed party rooms like Candyland, Undersea Pirate or Mermaid, Enchanted Fairy, Hot Air Balloon, Magic Carpet, Jungle Safari, Outer Space and Superhero. Hosting, invites, food, decorations and cake – these will all be taken care of by the venue.

And of course, there is a café for all your snacking needs, alongside packages that can be tailored to suit you. It’s a win-win scenario for both parents and kids.

Something for the young science-lovers out there. The National Maritime Museum is filled with artefacts and exhibitions that show off Australia’s beautiful natural oceanic heritage.

There are well-organised activities for children of all ages. You can explore galleries, take part in interactive tours with costumed guides, and engage in free play, crafts, games, dress-ups and story times in the themed activity area. The kids can even have the chance to board ships and submarines!

The family-friendly premises include a child-friendly café, with sandwiches, snacks and drinks. What a fun, educational way to spend a birthday.

6. Wild Life Sydney Zoo

Wild Life Sydney Zoo will give your child an introduction to many of Australia’s iconic native animals. Exhibits include a Kangaroo walkabout, mingling with wallabies, hanging around with koalas and meeting platypuses! You can also visit other enclosures to find wombats, crocodiles, Tasmanian devils, numbats, and the world’s happiest animal – the quokka!

The website has a helpful section that shows you how to best plan your day at the zoo. You can choose different experiences, such as Breakfast with Koalas, a wildlife tour, and even a private dining experience (I wonder what’s for dinner!) There are also separate tickets available for kid’s birthday parties.

Entermission is a VR escape room adventure. It’s an immersive, role-playing experience in which kids get to inhabit entire worlds with the help of headsets, motion sensors and controllers. Kids must solve puzzles and challenges with their teammates to solve the mystery and be let out of the room.

We love doing birthday parties and kids love our VR escape rooms as well. Of course, we’ve got the basics for you – including snacks and an ice-cream cake as part of the birthday package. There are different packages depending on how many people are there in your group. And if you want to go old-school, we’ve got the arcade games as well as Nintendo Switches for you to do so! Take a look at all our exciting missions here.

Make sure to check the timings, the number of people in your group, the security deposit amount and the perks and goodies you’re entitled to as part of your package.

8. Flying Fox Park & Winnererremy Bay

Now for something different, as we head from the indoors to the outdoors. If you’ve got a child that loves spending time in nature, this one’s for you.

Head to Flying Fox Park – one of the highest-ranked outdoor playgrounds in the city. It’s a fenced playground situated right next to Winnererremy Bay park.

The sprawling playground has a giant climbing net, flying fox, swings, slides, themed jungle gyms, bike or scooter track and more. There’s also a child-friendly cafe for coffee, snacks and meals.

But if your child would rather go exploring – you can also book an adventure trail with stone carvings of sea creatures like crabs, fish, dolphins, and starfish.

Meanwhile, the leafy Winnererremy Bay next door has many outdoor picnic tables, barbecues, and even a small beach. Flying Fox Park also caters for adults with the inclusion of the very ‘child-friendly’ Flying Fox Cafe, which serves kid-friendly meals and delicious coffee and snacks for the adults.

9. Plaster Painting Studios

And finally – got a creative, artsy little person at home? Why not host a painting birthday party for them? At Plaster Painting Studios, children’s entertainment professionals specialise in engaging kids in plaster painting activities.

The studio provides most of the equipment needed, including painting smocks. They have special birthday packages at affordable prices, and they can even mail everything over to your home if you’d rather hold the party at your own place.

Kids can choose from over 300 plaster figurines, plaques, canvas, picture frames, and candle holders to paint. All the items are polished and ready in 15 minutes, to be taken home.

It’s a great way to help your kid bond with their friends and take home things they made with their own hands. Trust us – they’ll cherish these objects and these memories for a lifetime.
